Background Profile
We started our company from Dec. 2014 as a 1st winner team in KOCCA CKL start-up masters program. Upon lean start-up model, we developed our beta platform in 2 months, and service/marketing model in 1 month.
For 5 months of beta operation, we have seen many great market signals such as satisfied customers, group classes, and media press release.
Inside track
Turtleclass is a “creator’s ultimate marketplace platform” for creators and customers. The target customers (young employees in 20-30s) place the most value on buying unique experiences and brand stories.
Matching to those needs, many individual sellers, academies, and corporate/brands are opening one-day classes or one-day promotional events.
The company provides a web platform for ticketing and e-commerce where creators can sell their one-day classes and unique designed products.
Branding is all that matters to the business. In addition to providing a quality customer services, turtleclass provides essential brand experiences via SNS pages, on and offline marketing, events, etc.
CEO Steena Sunyong Lee is looking for a seed investment for a go-to-
market in the European and the US.
“Our business model will perfectly work for a campus area/city area. Penetrating a campus/city population via viral marketing will be our first target goal,” she explains.
Recent Technology
We are upgrading our platform from ‘oneday class’ to ‘Creator’s ultimate marketplace’ which will include creator profile, one day class and their product pages. With the renewal launch, we will focus on a heavy marketing to recruit validated creators (designers, teachers, hobby experts, etc.).
Products
Currently we sell ‘oneday classes’ on our platform. But from this June, we will provide an upgraded platform which will have creator profile and networking space, oneday classes, and their creative products.
Our customers – 20s to 30s young employees, heavy SNS users, passionate about learning new experiences – will love to follow our creators and buy their oneday classes and products.
