For those who fantasise about a world of espionage and intrigue and guard their ‘top-secret’ business information like MI6, the new Tripleton Enigma E2 boasts two intact SIM cards to separate the two parts of your life – business and private (or perhaps secret agent and private).

The creators outline how regular mobile GSM calls can be easily intercepted, whether by hackers, cyber-terrorists or News International journalists. Via its supplementary SIM card, the Enigma E2 allows you make ‘crypto’ calls, which are highly encrypted calls that maker IntSec claims are 100 per cent secure and impossible to break.

‘Most people take steps to secure their computers and email but fail to protect voice calls,’ comments David Wolper, IntSec’s commercial director. ‘No-one in the world can listen in on a “crypto” call.’

But, just as Q would warn Bond when presenting him with his nifty gadgets, be careful: the Enigma E2 is not cheap. It is currently available from IntSec for £1,320.
