Fintech firm Glint Pay, which is in the middle of a crowdfunding round, has promoted its technical lead and head of engineering Dmitry Matyukhin to lead the team.
Its former chief technology officer (CTO), Mark Hermeling, is currently on gardening leave having left the business by mutual consent in April.
A spokesman said the company ‘remain grateful’ for Mark Hermeling’s contribution to the business.
What is Glint Pay?
The company, set up by co-founders Jason Cozens and Ben Davies in 2015, is an app and Mastercard which allows users to buy, store and spend physical gold alongside national currencies such as the pound and dollar. It currently has 15,000 users. The firm has secured investment from Haruko Fukuda, former CEO of the World Gold Council, Oliver Bolitho, former Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management Asia and Lord Flight of Worcester, formerly of Guinness Flight Global Asset Management.
GrowthBusiness recently published a story which implied that the Glint Pay CTO Mark Hermeling had left the company in the middle of its crowdfunding round in August 2018. This was an error as Hermeling left the company by mutual consent in April.
