Zeus Packaging Group strikes £8m deal

Dublin-based Zeus Packaging Group has purchased All Purpose Packaging for £8 million to improve its industrial and retail packaging services.

  • Glen Group Plc, a provider of telecoms services to the SME market, has acquired Colloquium, a public telecoms operator and Internet Service Provider (ISP), in a cash deal worth £100,000
  • European buy-out house Candover has taken a 40 per cent stake in Technogym, a producer of fitness equipment and “wellness products” for corporate customers and consumers
  • Private debt and insolvency firm Brightside Group Plc has bought personal claims assistant to solicitors and claimants, Injury QED and Aust Holdings, the latter owns insurance-focused financial services company Group Direct
  • Daft Media has acquired rival Irish housing website Property.ie
  • Buy-out and turnaround fund Endless has bought 50 per cent of discount book-seller The Works. Entrepreneurs Anthony Solomon and David Luper have acquired the remaining 50 per cent
  • Shoots has added to its garden centre portfolio with the purchase of Seymours Garden Centre
  • Telecoms market data provider Analysys Mason has bought rival company OSS Observer
  • Automotive parts manufacturer Universal Components has acquired its competitor Polland Beaumont

Deals in the pipeline:

  • PSPI Plc, a Guernsey-based real estate investment and financing company, is set to acquire a portfolio of six care homes in Germany, which will be leased for €36.3 million (£28.7 million)
  • Maxima Holdings Plc, an integrated IT solutions and managed services provider, has agreed to acquire DXI Networks for up to £8.5 million in a bid to strengthen its services. Barclays Bank Plc is backing the deal
