Voller Energy, a maker of portable fuel cell systems for use as battery chargers and mobile generators, has unveiled plans to float on AIM in the coming weeks.

Chief executive Stephen Voller says he is looking to raise £10 million of new money, at 105p, ahead of the launch and notes that pre-marketing to institutions has already started. The cash will be used to help the firm build new production facilities in Basingstoke.

Voller is one of the first companies in the world to develop commercially available fuel cell systems, and target markets for its products include the power tool hire market. Significantly, chairman John Brown is also chief executive of Fully-Listed Speedy Hire – a leading player in this industry.

Arden Partners is acting as both adviser and broker to the float.
