Ireland-based Digital Reach Group, a mobile services company, has been acquired by Take 5 Solutions.

Digital Reach Group, which is headquartered in Dublin, has been bought as part of Take 5’s strategy to offer its clients mobile services as an extension to its existing multi-channel marketing products.

David Thornbury, chief executive officer of Take 5 Solutions, explains: ‘DRG’s expertise in the area makes it the perfect fit. Not only has it shown to be ahead of the curve when it comes to mobile services, but like Take 5, it is also very focused on driving results for customers.

Thornbury says that the US is behind Europe in terms of mobile marketing but by purchasing Digital Reach Group Take 5 can offer its clients ‘cutting edge technology’. He adds that smart phones are not the future but very much the ‘now’ for the US and Take 5.

Founded in 2003, Florida-based Take 5 will work with Digital Reach Group to offer its customers apps, mobile websites, location-based services, mobile couponing, QR codes and mobile strategies. Take 5’s clients include Disney, Citibank and Procter & Gamble.

Thornbury adds that additional ‘strategic’ mergers and acquisitions are in the pipeline.

Digital Reach Group’s chief executive officer, Colm Grealy, says that in January the business set out to expand through partnerships.

He adds: ‘We launched at the Orlando-held CTIA Wireless Association Conference in March where initial contact was made with Take 5 that led to this deal. The synergies with the business are very strong.

‘Wrapping the Take 5 data around mobile offerings and digital marketing will add even more relevance and higher response rates to clients.’
