Buckinghamshire-based Turner Workflow Manufacturing (TWM) has acquired Berkshire and Scotland-based engineering group Doig S&E for £300,000. The deal aims to cut costs and boost TWM’s customer base.

TWM designs, develops and manufactures metal components, springs, wire forms and flat strip products. The business owns a tooling centre, which develops and brings to market metal.

Doig S&E, a manufacturer of bespoke springs, is based in Maidenhead and Fraserburgh. Post-deal, TWM aims to integrate the Maidenhead facility into its larger High Wycombe site and retain the Scottish facility to continue servicing oil & gas-related sectors.

Andrew Turner, TWM managing director, commented: “The acquisition of Doig S&E further strengthens our position as a world leader. Whilst combining these businesses will broaden our customer base, significant synergies and cost savings are projected.”
