Commenting on the transaction, TNS chief executive David Lowden, said: “TNS already has a strong position in Sweden’s finance sector. This acquisition makes TNS the market leader in research for commercial banks and insurance companies. It is also in line with the group’s strategy to increase its proportion of syndicated services.”

Established in 1985, Prospera is a provider of syndicated services for the financial sector in Sweden. The company posted gross assets of £0.5 million at 31 December 2007.
