In hindsight…

Over the 18 years that I have been in business, I would say that to set goals and share your business plan and objectives enables the business as a whole to have focus and strive for greater results.  

It is vital to have your key differentiators and USPs in order to set yourself apart from the competition and I strongly believe that is where our success lies.

However it is also important to keep things simple – the best solutions are the ones that break down and simplify a problem, making the solution obvious.

Overall – the best piece of advice I would give is to choose your employees wisely.  It is without doubt the people make our business and our continued success lies within our people.

Ultimate business motto?

We have two that we use every day here at MeasureMyEnergy:

What motivates your team?

It is important to have great talent hence I have a very strong team around me – some of my staff came with me from murphx when MeasureMyEnergy was just a concept.  

Having the right team with all of their personalities, beliefs, values, diverse skills and experiences drives our employee engagement and together with their everyday behaviours creates a work environment that strengthens our culture and is as important to our business as our strategy.

Seeing the business thrive and hearing the great feedback and savings from our direct customers and reseller partners is a definite motivator. If we can continue to build on our achievements of the first three years that we have been active in the marketplace, the future continues to look very bright – or should that be green!

Recent technology

• The Power Distribution Monitor is like having multiple energy meters for every circuit or appliance, which can monitor up to 36 circuits with power loads from 5A to 5000A. This enables even the smallest amounts of wasted energy to be identified; collectively these changes add up to large savings.
• MeasureMyEnergy customers regularly make savings of around 25 to 30 per cent with a rapid ROI.
