Dr Jozef Doboš
Jozef is the founder and CEO of 3D Repo Ltd, a spin-out from his Engineering Doctorate (2015) in Virtual Environments, Imaging & Visualisation (Computer Science) at University College London.
In 2009, he received his Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence degree from Imperial College London and in 2011 Master of Research in VEIV from UCL.Jozef is a professional member of the British Computer Society, the Chartered Institute for IT.

Background Profile
3D Repo is a multi-award winning open source software for Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the cloud.
Instead of architects, consultants and contractors sharing massive proprietary files in a costly and time consuming manner, they can simply point their web browser to an encrypted online repository in order to examine all project stages virtually, even on mobile devices.
Over 40 different 3D file formats are decomposed and federated in our big data repository. 3D Repo has collaborated on a number of large-scale industrial projects with companies such as ARUP, Balfour Beatty and British Telecom.
In 2014, 3D Repo won the MongoDB World Innovation Award, the UCL Bright Ideas Award, the Breakthrough Information Technology Exchange Award and was shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Engineering ERA Foundation Entrepreneurs Awards as well as the EPSRC UK ICT Research Pioneers Awards.
This year, 3D Repo won the Cognicity Challenge by Canary Wharf Group. 3D Repo is part-funded by InnovateUK and EIT Digital.

Using our novel web-based system, companies such as Arup, HOK and Balfour Beatty are able to host and virtually manage BIM projects online regardless of file format.
3D Repo already supports industry standards such as IFC, AutoCAD DXF, FBX, etc. What is more, subcontractors will soon be able to cost projects directly in 3D using web browsers via automatic measurement of quantities and schedules of rates.
Instead of charging tens of thousands of pounds for proprietary software licenses which only the largest companies can afford, in 3D Repo we offer a revolutionary open source web-based system that provides a free to use online platform and additional low cost paid for modules to supplement this solution.
Convenience services such as automated measurements, analytics and preference setting across multiple projects simplify the design and construction process, yet are affordable for even the smallest of companies.
We see this as a novel open source business model that disrupts the construction industry in the UK and globally.
