Thomas Eggar provided legal advice to the acquirer, preparing a due diligence report and acquisition documentation, and negotiating the final position with Walkinshaw.

St Quinton, who has significant experience of acquiring companies such as Danka and Azzurri, commented: “The Thomas Eggar team was very responsive to all the instructions given and extremely constructive in its approach. They were instrumental in making a complex transaction as smooth as humanly possible and I look forward to working with them again.”

Partner John Riddick led the transaction with the assistance of solicitor Owain Morgan. Riddick said: “We established a relationship with the seller’s solicitors, which enabled the deal to complete as smoothly and amicably as possible.” n
