The deal aims to boost SSL’s market share and brand portfolio without increasing overheads. Crest is the number-two condom brand in Switzerland with a 32 per cent market share. The company posted revenues of CHF2.3 million for the year to 31 December 2007.

Completion will take place on 31 December 2008 as regulatory approvals have now been obtained.

SSL CEO Garry Watts said: “Crest is a strong brand in Switzerland and allows SSL to assume market leadership in another European market.”
