Candidates revealed for ninth annual clean energy event 

The final shortlist has been released for the New Energy & Cleantech Awards 2016, the foremost event recognising excellence in the green energy and cleantech industries.

Some 62 nominees across ten categories will compete for such gongs as Innovator of the Year, Retailer of the Year and Advisory Firm of the Year, to present a complete picture of the top achievers in the sector.

Ben Lobel, of the New Energy & Cleantech Awards said: “Nothing seems to be able to stop the march of clean energy; renewable power accounted for 22 per cent of total UK power output during the first quarter of 2016, comfortably surpassing coal output.

“It is an exciting time and a perfect backdrop to celebrate our annual New Energy & Cleantech Awards.”
