Shackleton completes £1 million funding round 

OmPrompt, a messaging connectivity company, has secured £1 million from secondaries venture capital firm Shackleton Ventures. The investment was made from Shackleton Secondaries II Limited Partnership, its second fund.

OmPrompt, a messaging connectivity company, has secured £1 million from secondaries venture capital firm Shackleton Ventures. The investment was made from Shackleton Secondaries II Limited Partnership, its second fund.

OmPrompt provides real-time transformation of message formats, such as EDI, XML and spreadsheets, into other formats with a fully integrated system.

The investment amounts to a 49 per cent interest in OmPrompt for Shackleton and the proceeds will be used to expand the technology and broaden the business in the UK and internationally.

Philip Quigley and Bhavin Patel at professional services firm Smith & Williamson carried out due diligence for Shackleton. Quigley commented, “It was good to work with the Shackleton team again. They have been clients for many years and we regularly assist on their investments. We were able to move quickly to get into the target, carry out our work and report.”

Other advisers include Birmingham-based law firm Martineau.
