Savills appoints new non-executive director

International property adviser Savills has appointed Martin Angle as an independent non-executive director with effect from 2 January 2007.

From 2001 to 2006, Angle served with private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners and its predecessor, the Principal Finance Group, a division of Nomura.

Angle held senior board positions in companies controlled by Terra Firma including serving as deputy chairman of Le Meridien Hotel Group and executive chairman of Waste Recycling Group.

Prior to 2001, Martin was finance director of TI Group, an international FTSE100 engineering company. Angle joined TI after a long career in investment banking where he held a number of senior positions with SG Warburg, Morgan Stanley and Dresdner Kleinwort.

In 2006 he was appointed non-executive chairman of the NEC Group and a non-executive director of Dubai International Capital where he also sits on the investment committee.

Angle is a chartered accountant, fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Member of Council of the University of Warwick, a Member of the Board of Warwick Business School and a Member of the Securities & Investment Institute.
