Comtec, a travel technology business backed by UK private equity investor RJD Partners, has acquired customer relationship management software business Pro EQ for an undisclosed amount.

RJD Partners funded the MBO of Comtec in May, with HSBC providing debt to finance the deal, which reportedly included £10 million of funding for future acquisitions.

Comtec has now made three acquisitions since then, including travel web design agency Jamber and web and technical Internet specialist Atolis, all for undisclosed sums.

RJD Partners’ Frank Bulman commented: “The rapid progress Comtec has made in pursuit of its organic and acquisition-led strategy has been impressive. This is the third transaction Comtec has completed since the MBO in May 2008 and we have been both delighted and impressed with their dedication to growing the business in line with their objectives.”
