Provider of optical-fibre networks Geo Networks has named Andy Tipping as sales director to head its new online business sector team.

The industry veteran has held high-profile roles at BT Wholesale and Cable & Wireless as well as developing a franchise courier business.

The new role will see him responsible for the evolution of Geo’s online proposition. Tipping comments, ‘The online business sector is an area that is seeing phenomenal growth in the UK, and I’m really looking forward to taking Geo to the next level in this fast-growing sector.’

The Alchemy Investment Plan acquired Geo in 2008 and it is now the third fastest-growing telecoms and networking company in the UK.
