Commercial property investment manager Orchard Street has secured £100 million of bank funding to pursue ‘exciting investment opportunities’ in the UK market.

The financing from The Royal Bank of Scotland is for Orchard Street’s UK Special Situations Fund, which launched in March with £100 million of equity subscribed. Managed by Barney Rowe, the fund aims to invest in up to 15 developments over the next few years.

Chris Bartram, chairman of Orchard Street, says, ‘In securing this hunting capacity, we believe that we can be very active in pursuit of the exciting investment opportunities presented by the current market.

‘We are looking at all sectors of the commercial property market and have an appetite to invest over the next few months in a market where we are seeing real value.’
