Green energy producer Diverse Energy has received £2 million expansion funding from Octopus Investments.

Alastair Livesey, managing director of Diverse Energy, says: ‘This investment will enable Diverse Energy to complete the transition from development to a fully commercial manufacturing organisation.’

The investment, which is Octopus’ 24th deal of 2010, will enable the company to complete its assembly plant and take orders for its standalone PowerCube product.

Founded in 2007, West Sussex-based Diverse Energy produces ammonia-based low-carbon power generators designed for ‘off-grid’ applications such as telecommunications transmitters.
