Marshall Motor Group has agreed to acquire Leicestershire-based car dealership Francis Group for an undisclosed sum.

The deal brings Marshall’s total number of Honda sites to seven, following the acquisition of the deVries dealerships last year, and adds Spanish carmaker Seat to the group’s list of manufacturers. The Cambridge-based company now owns 52 showrooms and sells over 25,000 cars per year.

Daksh Gupta, chief executive of Marshall, says: ‘We have added 12 businesses to Marshall in the last 12 months and these four will add another £35 million to our annual turnover.’

As part of the deal, all 85 of Francis Group’s employees will transfer to Marshall.
