Superman super fan and experienced hospitality business manager, Daniel Campbell, launched a crowd-stopping cafe, Red Box Coffee, from a red phone box in Haymarket train station, Edinburgh.

Campbell’s concept took flight when he spotted a red phone box for sale. For years, Campbell had been toying with the idea of setting up a cafe, and this became the perfect opportunity for him to penetrate the highly competitive coffee shop market. The highlight for Campbell is the opportunity to play out the part of his favourite superhero.

Red Box Coffee serves hot and cold beverages, fresh sandwiches from small local producers. Campbell’s tea selection includes luxury tea from his own home in Edinburgh.

“I am as passionate about quality tea, coffee and local artisan produce of the highest standard, as Clark Kent is about saving Metropolis,” Campbell says.

“I want to share this with the public at a competitive price in a fun, unique setting. I am really looking forward to introducing Red Box Coffee and meeting commuters and residents of Edinburgh to brighten up their mornings. I’m also looking forward to providing those attending the Fringe with a much needed caffeine refill!”

Red Box Coffee is now open seven days a week and calling all visitors, commuters and residents to Haymarket train station, Edinburgh.
