• Waltham Cross-based security company SectorGuard Plc has acquired Legion Group Plc, a parking services and security company, for a nominal fee.
• Welsh recruitment firm Agg Jones Search and Selection has received £475,000 from the Welsh Assembly Government and HSBC to extend its geographical coverage.
• Banco Santander Brazil has acquired a 50 per cent stake of the insurance company Real Tokio Marine Vida e Previdencia from Tokyo Marine for £208 million.
• Swedish packaging company Korsnäs AB has acquired Rockhammars Bruk, a producer of chemical pulp, from Rottneros AB for SEK 145 million (£11.5 million).
• Birmingham-based Comply Serve, a developer of web-based project compliance management systems geared to large engineering and construction projects, has secured £800,000 from venture capitalists Catapult Venture Managers and Midven, as well as from private investors.
• Banexi Capital Partners, a French private equity firm, has been acquired by its management team and renamed Azulis Capital. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
• Spanish private equity firm GED has acquired an 80 per cent stake in Romanian medical distributor company Diamedix for £11 million via its GED Eastern Fund II.
