ICCM supports adults and children with a range of conditions, including spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries and other degenerative disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and cerebral palsy.

This investment, the amount of which is undisclosed, will enable ICCM to continue to pursue commercial development in regions outside its home market of the East Midlands. As part of the transaction, ICCM will also made a bolt-on acquisition with the purchase of Excel at Care to ensure that training continues to be delivered to its carers.

Managing director and trained nurse Zerina Yerrell founded the Kettering-based business in 1997. It currently works with 24 primary care trusts throughout the UK, primarily in the East Midlands. The organisation has a team of more than 300 nurses, carers and case managers.

Yerrell comments, ‘ICCM has grown successfully throughout its history by being passionate about its clients and putting quality at the heart of everything. This investment will allow ICCM to continue to deliver exceptional levels of care and create a partnership that will support ICCM through its next period of growth.’

Previous investments in care providers for ISIS include live-in care provider Active Assistance, supported living provider SLC Group, Witherslack Group, a provider of care and education for children with special education needs, and Independent Fostering Agency Pathway Care.
