In-store music company Imagesound plc has bought TSC Music Systems for £4.75 million.

The acquisition adds new clients such as Starbucks, Orange, Caffe Nero, Gala, Montblanc and Alliance & Leicester to its business as well as 3,500 new outlets. Imagesound will now integrate TSC into its Chesterfield offices.

Imagesound appointed international consultancy Globalview Advisors to provide valuation services.

“As in most service businesses, the value is in the intangibles,” Globalview’s UK director Sarpel Ustunel said. “TSC has built a strong reputation and a solid customer base by providing music to retail businesses for many years; these are the primary value drivers of the acquisition. As a listed company, Imagesound is required to disclose the acquired intangible assets on its books.”
