The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
GCI Telecom employs 140 staff and trades as Edge Telecom and IPI. Invomo CEO Nick Wiley will be replaced by group CEO Don McQueen and Wayne Martin has been appointed group chairman.
McQueen said: ‘Today the GCI Group provides outbound telephony, VoIP and data services in the UK. The acquisition of Invomo will add an important arm to [our] offering with the addition of inbound telephony services.’
The group has completed eight acquisitions in the last four years, the most recent of which was IP Infrastructures in September 2009. The combined turnover of the company will be £40 million.
