South Wales-based UES, which advises businesses on their utility costs, has secured £400,000 from Finance Wales, a subsidiary of the Welsh Assembly.
The funding, together with additional money direct from the Assembly, will help UES in its goal to increase its headcount by 16 and double its size over the next two years.
Matthew Pugh, a portfolio executive at Finance Wales, says that the organisation has been involved with UES for several years and this is the second investment it has made in the company.
UES specialises in helping companies reduce and audit energy, water, waste, telecoms and IT costs, while assessing and monitoring environmental impact.
Finance Wales has an investment fund of £150 million dedicated to growth businesses in the region.
