eaga plc, an energy efficiency specialist that targets the residential market, has completed its first acquisition since it joined the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.

The company has bought heating installation and repair company RG Francis in a deal that could be worth as much as £11.2 million if agreed financial targets are achieved.

The vendors received legal advice from David Wisbey, partner and head of commercial at Birkett Long, who led a team of corporate, property, employment and intellectual property specialists.

Wisbey said RG Francis is an existing client of the firm so the shareholders turned to him to advise them on the sale. “Completion took place 10 days after the first draft of the share purchase agreement was supplied by eaga’s solicitors.”
