Document deal for Xerox

Xerox has acquired Scotland-based Concept Group, which provides document management to small and medium-sized businesses, for an undisclosed amount.

In the past three years Xerox has acquired two other managed print services, Irish Business Systems and Veenman.

Douraid Zaghouani, president of the indirect channels group at Xerox Corporation comments: ‘With Concept Group, we significantly increase our presence across the UK […] bringing the right coverage and the right positioning to this vital market.’

As part of the deal, Concept Group will operate as a subsidiary of Xerox, and Colin Paterson, who founded Concept Group in 1984, will continue to lead the company from its headquarters in Livingston.

Paterson adds: ‘Our aim has always been to exceed customer expectations with regard to performance and cost savings.

‘The acquisition means we’ll be able to do that even better by bringing our customers all the benefits of Xerox’s products.’

Xerox employs 4,700 people in the UK and 230 in Scotland.
