Digital Barriers has acquired a division of Overtis Group for £3.2 million.

Security and surveillance company Digital Barriers has acquired the Solutions division of Overtis Group for £3.2 million. The deal is to be financed by Digital Barrier’s existing cash resources.

Oxfordshire-based Overtis Solutions provides electronic security products to protect high value physical and information assets including government departments and public sector bodies. Its products include CCTV and perimeter protection systems.

For the year ending October 2009, Overtis Group declared net profits of £70,000 on turnover of £2.64 million, and had net assets of £1.3 million.

AIM-listed Digital Barriers provides hardware and software-based security for corporations and government agencies. The company aims to build its range of services through the acquisition of complementary products or companies to create a mid-market sized group.
