Rochdale-based agency Cooper’s Graphic Design and Advertising has undergone a £60,000 management buy-out led by partner Tony Butterworth.
The firm specialises in graphic design and corporate branding. Butterworth has worked at the company for more than 23 years under founder Trevor Cooper, who will retire from the business.
Butterworth says: ‘The financial restructure lays a firm foundation for the company to capitalise on its success and achieve sustainable growth with a view of making the business a saleable asset in 10 to 15 years’ time.’
The deal was backed by the Royal Bank of Scotland, and accountancy firm Wilds acted as lead advisor.
