Big Four professional services firm Deloitte has acquired the sustainability consultancy dcarbon8.

London-based dcarbon8 provides audit and consultancy services to companies to reduce their carbon footprint, increase energy efficiency and to comply with government regulations. The acquisition sum was undisclosed.

Under the terms of the deal, Guy Battle, one of the founders of dcarbon8, will become a Deloitte partner.

John Connolly, CEO and senior partner at Deloitte, says that the ‘deal will bring together pioneering and highly skilled people from both organisations enabling us to offer an increased range and depth of carbon and sustainability advice to a broader number of clients’.

Other consultancy additions to Deloitte this year include the property advisory company Drivers Jonas, and business performance and information management concern ReportSource.
