Insurance platform provider claims £37m

London-based insurance platform provider INSTANDA closed a £37m ($45m) round led by Toscafund, with the participation of existing investor Dale Ventures.

INSTANDA enables insurance providers in the property and casualty and life and health markets to create and build complex insurance products within days and weeks – ten times faster than the industry norm using its combination of ‘no code’ freedom and pre-built product libraries.

Mental health platform detects £2.4m

Cambridge-based healthtech spinout Psyomics has closed a £2.4m funding round led by Parkwalk with participation from Meltwind and Newable Ventures.

The University of Cambridge spinout develops technology to support earlier and improved mental health diagnosis and treatment management. Its platform mirrors the process of a comprehensive face-to-face assessment before producing a report of potential conditions and next step recommendations.

AI start-up raises £2.2m in ‘seed plus’ funding

Sonrai Analytics, an AI cloud data analytics start-up, raised a £2.2m ‘seed plus’ funding round led by Forward Partners.

The Belfast-based start-up allows biotech and pharma companies to automate their data processes and harness AI to speed up new drug and healthcare developments. Existing investors Techstart Ventures, Co-Fund NI, QUBIS, and angel investors also participated.

Venue hire platform books £950,000

Venue hire platform Sharesy has raised £950,000 from Henley Business Angels, so it can roll out its North London operations to the rest of the UK.

Sharesy collates community venues like town halls and fitness centres in one place, making it easier to compare and book for those looking to hire and allow hosts to reach a larger audience.

High-ranking SEO start-up receives £120,000 boost

Tech start-up SEOTesting.com has raised £120,000 ($150,000) in early-stage investment from TinySeed.

Cornwall-base SEOTesting.com is designed to help people who work on website search engine optimisation (SEO) to grow search traffic from Google through thorough experimentation and testing.
