On the back of the deal, Complete Telecom is to maintain and grow the existing Intellicom office located in Birr, Ireland, and turn it into a regional support office.
Intellicom provides software development for business telephony and communications services.
Kevin Murphy, managing director at Complete Telecom, says the purchase of Intellicom opens a ‘new chapter’ in the business’s history.
He says: ‘Adding “in house” voice systems and development capability brings our telecommunications offering to a whole new level and in doing so, reinforces our commitment to delivering communications services, which increase staff productivity and reduce costs.’
Founded in 2004 by a group of telephony specialists, Intellicom’s services centre around improving employee availability, responsiveness and productivity through its technology.
In the past 12 months Complete Telecom has secured contracts worth €12 million (£10.6 million) as it looks to expand its presence in the UK and Europe.
Looking at further acquisitions for the Dublin-based business, Murphy says Complete Telecom is always looking at ways to add to its customer or service portfolio.
