Kendal-based Bluefin Insurance Services has acquired Lakeland Insurance Services for an undisclosed sum. Lakeland is based in Windermere and specialises in guesthouse insurance as well as SME and personal lines insurance.

Ringland Construction has been sold in a management buy-in led by MBI candidate Linda Green. The sale of the Sheffield-based firm will see co-founder Geoff Oakland remain as sales director while co-founder Harry Bell will leave the business. The size of the deal has not been revealed.
