Augur Capital acquires VERITAS

Germany-based Augur Capital’s Private Equity Fund, which specialises in the European financial services sector, has acquired investment company VERITAS Investment Trust through its managed fund Augur Financial Opportunity Fund.


Germany-based Augur Capital’s Private Equity Fund, which specialises in the European financial services sector, has acquired investment company VERITAS Investment Trust through its managed fund Augur Financial Opportunity Fund.

Germany-based Augur Capital’s Private Equity Fund, which specialises in the European financial services sector, has acquired investment company VERITAS Investment Trust through its managed fund Augur Financial Opportunity Fund.

Günther Skrzypek, managing director of Augur Capital, stated: “We are proud to announce that we are the first private equity fund to take over a German KAG (regulated investment company) through the acquisition of VERITAS.”

VERITAS CEO Rainer Henkel added: “VERITAS will profit from the financial strength of Augur Financial Opportunity Fund. It will have a positive effect on the development of our own brand and business strategy, and will help to drive organic and acquisitive growth.”

A team from Beiten Burkhardt, led by Dr Günther M Bredow, acted for the fund. They provided advice on all aspects of company law on the deal. Beiten Burkhardt also advises on company law from mid-size to large companies.
