Aegis acquisition of Pjure

Marketing and research company Aegis has acquired Pjure, an Austrian-based digital agency.

Jerry Buhlmann, chief executive officer of London-headquartered Aegis, says that Pjure is a ‘strong business’ with a good track record for digital creativity and delivery in the Austrian market.

Through its online advertising and marketing Pjure, which was founded in 2000, has clients including Maestro, MasterCard, Bahlsen and Allianz.

According to a statement Pjure will become part of the Aegis’ Isobar network in Austria. Financial details of the deal were undisclosed.

Chief executive officer of Aegis Media Austria and Adriatics, Andreas Weiss, comments: ‘The digital media market is growing fast with high demand for integrated digital services and creative offers.’

Weiss adds that the purchase will bring an ‘experienced and excellent digital team’ to the Isobar network.

The transaction is the seventh for Aegis in 2011, with their most recent acquisition, for TigerSpike, costing £6.83 million.

Other deals include: Fliefix, MediaVest, ICUC Moderation Services, Create Media Services and Qualite Search Marketing.

Commenting on the most recent deal, chief executive officer of Pjure, Helmut Kosa, adds: ‘Together as one family we are confident we will be able to further extend our digital brilliance by servicing existing as well as new clients with successful creative driven marketing concepts.’
