Advanced Computer Software (ACS) has acquired COA Solutions from private equity firm Alchemy Partners for £100 million.

Advanced Computer Software (ACS) has acquired COA Solutions from private equity firm Alchemy Partners for £100 million.

The acquisition of COA, which specialises in business software for the private and public sectors, has been financed from new banking facilities of £55 million provided by HSBC and RBS.

Vin Murria, chief executive of ACS Group, says ‘[This is an] earnings-enhancing acquisition that significantly strengthens our position in the healthcare and public sector markets.’

ACS made three acquisitions in 2009 including London-based StaffPlan for £1.4 million. In the six months ending August, ACS generated revenue of £11 million and pre-tax profits of £1.9 million.
