US marketing company Harte-Hanks has acquired the UK data management business Information Arts.

Information Arts was founded in 2000 by Simon Lawrence and Gary Selby. The Buckinghamshire-based company provides consumer data to business-to-business marketers. The acquisition was for an undisclosed sum.

Gary Selby, managing director at Information Arts, comments: ‘The increasingly international way we work means that working with the other businesses of Harte-Hanks will be of huge benefit to new and existing clients.’

Under the terms of the deal Information Arts will continue to operate as a business unit of Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing under its current leadership of Simon Lawrence and Gary Selby.

Harte-Hanks is a direct and targeted marketing company that works with companies in a range of sectors including financial services and pharmaceuticals. Founded in 1923 as a newspaper publisher in Texas, the company is now headquartered in Massachusetts and has offices around the world.
