1.YFM rings Bell

Venture capital firm YFM Group has appointed David Bell as its private equity portfolio director. Prior to joining the group, he led investments and worked as portfolio director at private equity company 3i. Bell studied mathematics at Cambridge University and has worked as a management consultant at Miebach Logistics. He says: ‘The move to YFM presented the opportunity to get involved with a huge variety of deals at one of the most interesting times in recent years.’

2.Gilroy heads Vistage

Steve Gilroy, founder of sales development company Biz, is the new CEO of executive development business Vistage International. Gilroy is former managing director and vice-president (global sales and marketing) at business education company ExecuTrain. Other strings to his bow include a stint as vice-president (international sales and marketing) at the Computing Technology Industry Association, which has trained and accredited more than one million IT professionals.

3.AWS chair appointed to Curzon

Cleantech venture capital investor Curzon Park Capital has appointed Peter Gangsted as an advisory partner. He
will assist the board to manage the Sustainable Technology Fund as well as advising on future business strategy. Gangsted has also recently been appointed chairman of AWS Eco Plastics. He has been active in private equity for more than a decade, having built up specialist knowledge of the manufacturing and plastics sectors.
