Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND), the digital consumer division of DMGT, has acquired Broadbean Technology, a European provider of online job advert distribution and response tracking services for the recruitment industry.

The acquisition will provide Broadbean with access to AND’s expertise and resources in the digital sector. Under the terms of the deal, Broadbean will retain its brand name and continue to be led by the current management team from its headquarters in Canary Wharf. All staff will also be retained.

AND also owns Conkers, a similar recruitment service to Broadbean, and Jobsite UK Worldwide. Through Jobsite, AND operates more than 40 generalist, niche and regional job boards.

Broadbean has more than 1,000 clients including many of global recruitment consultancies and a large number of major employers.

Broadbean’s founder, Kelly Robinson, said, “In our first meeting with AND we were introduced to a team of people who truly understood our business. Through discussions it became quite apparent that they would be the ideal group to help accelerate our global expansion. Combining AND’s resources with the drive and talent of the Broadbean team is a powerful boost to our ongoing aim of posting the world’s online adverts.”

Dan Martin, business development director at Associated Northcliffe Digital, said: “Broadbean is an ambitious young company with a best-in-class technology set. It was apparent from the outset that its team and offering would complement AND’s existing capabilities in technology and recruitment. We look forward to helping realise their plans for international expansion and further growth going forward.”
