Independent firm Giles Insurance Brokers has made its first Welsh acquisition, buying Hedges & Rose Insurance Group for an undisclosed sum.

 

The purchase signals the forth for the firm this year, adding to its already diversified insurance provision, and was completed after Giles Insurance Brokers fought off intense competition to acquire the business.

 

Hedges & Rose, founded in 1987, generated £1.5 million of brokerage fees. Established in 1967 Giles Insurance Brokers, headquartered in Glasgow, is now Scotland’s largest commercial broker.
