  • Pub, restaurant and hotel operator Emporia Leisure has acquired Tudor mansion Mitton Hall for £3 million. The property is to be converted into a hotel
  • Venture capitalist Imperial Innovations has invested £375,000 in electrical motors and generators developer EVO Electric, raising its stake to 38%
  • InterQuest Group has added to its IT recruitment services with the purchase of e-CRM People for up to £4.95 million
  • Barclays Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in Camden Corporate Fleet Services, the corporate division of auto trader Camden Motors Group, for £27 million
  • Rainbow Telecom has bolstered its telecom services with the purchase of GiGiTech for undisclosed terms
  • IT security provider Global Secure Systems has acquired its smaller rival Peapod for undisclosed terms
  • VPhase has boosted its research and development operations of its energy reduction products with the acquisition of Energy VC. The firm has also launched on AIM
  • Intertek, a provider of quality and safety services to a range of industries, has completed its 15th deal of the year, acquiring German-based food testing laboratory biodata for €3.6 million (£2.5 million)
  • Property investor Rugby Investment Trust has added to its portfolio with the acquisition of JRPA Properties for 17.7 million
