Mark Burrows Smith, director of Viridor North, comments: ‘The acquisition of Swinnerton Environmental Limited, alongside the acquisition of Adapt Recycling in December will build upon our existing operations in the region, expanding our business in the key recycling areas.’

Viridor provides waste collection and recycling services to local councils and private companies and operates 20 recycling facilities, two energy from waste plants and 22 landfill sites. The Somerset-based company has regional offices in England and Scotland, and intends to integrate Swinnerton into the company’s commercial recycling facilities in the Manchester area.
