Environmental investor Climate Change Capital (CCC) has ceased raising cash for its Ventus 2 & 3 VCT funds, after pulling in a combined £22.3 million for investment in UK-based renewable energy projects.

In total, CCC now has around £37 million under management, via three funds, and although the first Ventus VCT was created to primarily back wind-farm projects, trusts 2 & 3 will have a wider remit to support biomass, hydro and landfill gas schemes too

‘The Ventus proposition is designed specifically to meet the need for finance in the key small-and medium-sized renewable energy sector,’ CCC’s Mark Woodall elaborates.
