United Drug plc, a healthcare services provider to pharmaceutical manufacturers and retailers, has broadened its service offering with the acquisition of Procon Conferences, a pharmaceutical conference services company.

The deal was agreed for £4.2 million, which was paid in cash on completion, with up to a further £1.2 million due if agreed targets are achieved in the next 12 months.

The vendors were advised by central London law firm Joelson Wilson, which was led by Sheldon Cordell.

“It was great to be able to bring our knowledge of the exhibitions and conferences sector to this transaction, and to assist private individuals on all the corporate aspects of a successful sale,” Cordell said.
