TripAdvisor acquires Holiday Lettings

TripAdvisor has acquired the UK holiday home website Holiday Lettings.

Travel website TripAdvisor has acquired the UK holiday home rentals website Holiday Lettings.

Under the deal, which was for an undisclosed sum, the co-founders and management of Holiday Lettings will continue to lead the business as an independent brand.

TripAdvisor is based in Massachusetts and operates travel websites across the world, including the UK. Founded in 2000, the company operates 17 travel brands and employs approximately 650 staff.

Oxford-based Holiday Lettings was established in 1999 and currently advertises more than 40,000 holiday homes. The site covers holiday homes in 116 countries and is visited by 25 million visitors every year.
