Independent music producer Eagle Rock Group has been acquired by its three managers for an undisclosed sum.

The company was sold by Hg Capital to a team comprising chief executive Terry Shand, chief operating officer Geoff Kempin and finance director Simon Hosken.

The buy-out team received financial advice from LongAcre Partners, fronted by managing director Jonathan Norman who led the negotiations with HgCapital and identified potential funders to back the deal.

“After considering various alternatives, the team proceeded with edel music AG, a European music production, distribution and marketing company, and Beringea, a mid-market private equity fund manager,” Norman said. “From the day of engagement to completion, the deal was initiated and concluded in some 15 weeks.”
