TiNet in private equity deal

BS Investimenti SGR, a unit of Milan-based BS Private Equity SpA, is set to acquire the international network business of Italian broadband company Tiscali for €47 million (£41 million).

BS Investimenti SGR, a unit of Milan-based BS Private Equity SpA, is set to acquire the international network business of Italian broadband company Tiscali for €47 million (£41 million).

The deal includes a deferred element of up to €7 million.

Tiscali International Network (TiNet) supplies internet connectivity on three continents. In 2008, the business had earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of some €10 million. During the same period the company generated revenues of €35 million compared with €28 million in 2007.

TiNet will continue to supply IP services to the Tiscali Group post-deal.
