More than 250 of the guiding stars of the British business landscape gathered in London for the High Potential Business Awards, formerly the M&A Awards, on Wednesday at The Savoy, to recognise the achievements of UK’s dynamic business ecosystem.
Celebrating every stage of the business journey, the The High Potential Business Awards recognise the start-ups, scale-ups and mid-market companies that display the most organic growth potential against all odds.
As a nod to its legacy in acknowledging excellence in mergers, acquisitions, and dealmaking, the awards continued to celebrate the achievements of the financiers and advisors supporting the business community this year.
The awards also recognises the evolving role of entrepreneurs as the driving force of the UK economy and a barometer of its economic health.
“We are honoured to host the main pillars of the UK’s robust SME community under one roof again this year, celebrating past achievements while looking firmly to the future,” GrowthBusiness editor, Praseeda Nair said.
“The rebrand of the event not only celebrates this exciting milestone, but comes with the introduction of several new categories, bringing businesses in every stage of growth back into the fold. Ultimately, inspiring business growth is high on our agenda.”
The event’s corporate sponsors included EMC Management Consultants, Knight Corporate Finance, Kingston Smith, Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank, and Squire Patton Boggs.
The awards commenced with an address from Chika Russell, sharing her inspirational business journey. As the very memorable and impassioned F&B entrepreneur on BBC 2’s Dragon’s Den last year, Chika shared her story on how she took her Nigerian-inspired snack foods across the nation, setting the tone for the evening.
