If you and your personal digital assistant (PDA) are inseparable, you may like T-Mobile’s latest offering. The MDA Vario III has a tilting touch screen which, when adjusted, turns the phone into a miniature laptop with an in-built wi-fi capability.

The device’s 3.6 megabyte HSDPA (a mobile protocol enabling the phone to access the internet) will, say the manufacturers, provide fast, high-quality access to the web. You can also use many of your favourite Windows applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.

Not only will the Vario III allow you to keep working when you’re on the road, it will help ensure you reach your destination. The device boasts a GPS receiver, compatible with the CoPilot Live 7 satellite navigation system.

In addition, the device features a three mega-pixel camera with auto focus and a front facing camera for video calls.

Be warned, though – you’ll need small fingers to operate that QWERTY keyboard.
